4th year students of the Ala-Too International Law Program took part in the Chamber of Arbitrators competition, an annual international student competition on international trade law and international commercial arbitration.

The organizers of the competition were the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the Belarusian Republican Union of Lawyers, the International Arbitration Court “Chambers of Arbitrators at the Union of Lawyers” and the Belarusian State University.

The contest itself consisted of two stages:

1)Written -consisted in preparing and sending memoranda of the plaintiff and the defendant on issues of jurisdiction and the merits of the dispute;

2) oral - consisted in presenting the position of the plaintiff and the defendant in oral hearings. The oral hearings were held online.

Our students successfully coped with both the first and second stages of the competition, with which we sincerely congratulate them.
